Key Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Shorterm Group, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing processes scope from inception to delivery, covering technical review, BOMs maintenance, tooling, technical support, methods/process development, design study, workstation layout, and ensuring best practice and innovation throughout.

Key Skills:

• Strong background in manufacturing/production engineering
• HNC qualification or above in some form of Engineering discipline
• Understanding of welding procedures and processes
• Experience using SAP systems

Our client is a leader in the Rail Rolling Stock Manufacturing sector. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, supporting the manufacturing processes scope from inception to delivery. You will be responsible for reviewing specifications, evaluating production tools, and providing technical support to all staff to ensure technical specifications are achieved in line with all manufacturing competencies, SOPs, MBOMBs, SOPS, and equipment provided. You will also be responsible for implementing design changes, including MCN management, and mentoring and training junior engineers where appropriate.
