Position Summary

The Service Engineer will be a vital member of the team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse range of equipment. This role offers an attractive salary package, including a competitive base salary up to £36,000, overtime compensation at time and a half, and additional benefits such as a fully expensed company vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing and repairs on machinery as instructed by the Service Manager.
  • Diagnose issues with a friendly and efficient approach, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Document each service job using a PDA system.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in one of the following fields:

  • Vehicle Technician
  • Master Technician
  • HGV Technician
  • Agricultural Engineer
  • Roadside Recovery
  • Plant Fitter
  • FLT Engineer
  • Service Engineer in Material Handling or related industries

Additional qualifications include:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plant, Maintenance, or Vehicle, preferably with an apprenticeship background.
  • Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while managing workload effectively.
  • Professional demeanor, demonstrating trustworthiness and punctuality.
  • Team-oriented mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary: £34,000 to £36,000
  • Contracted 40-hour work week with overtime paid at time and a half, potential earnings of £40,000+
  • Door-to-door payment for travel to sites
  • Fully expensed company van
