Key Responsibilities

As a Real Estate Asset Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily estate operations for both freehold and leasehold commercial properties
  • Negotiating lease renewals and rent adjustments with landlords and their representatives to maximize returns
  • Identifying and optimizing rental income opportunities from Tarmac's property portfolio
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and approval of property-related expenses, including rents and maintenance
  • Directing and supervising external consultants and agents

The Ideal Candidate

To excel in the role of Real Estate Asset Surveyor, you should possess proven expertise in:

  • Understanding of industrial and commercial property ownership and tenancy laws in the UK
  • Experience in the UK commercial property market
  • Negotiating rent adjustments, lease renewals, and general estate management
  • Familiarity with mineral and energy-related properties is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Achieved or pursuing MRICS accreditation
