Associate Technician

Ultra PCS is seeking a highly skilled Associate Technician to join our Operations team. As an Associate Technician, you will play a critical role in building, inspecting, and testing new build products, as well as undertaking fault diagnosis and repair of customer units.
Key Responsibilities- Product Build and Inspection: Build, inspect, and test new build products to ATP documentation in accordance with your scope of approval.
- Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Undertake fault diagnosis of returned items and provide a comprehensive strip report. Carry out repair and test of customer units as required.
- Quality Assurance: Carry out first off/patrol inspection of non-approved operators' work, in line with their scope of approval.
- Manufacturing and Repair: Assemble new build products and carry out repair of customer products in accordance with the drawings and manufacturing instructions.
- Problem-Solving: Identify problems/issues and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaboration: Act as the cell link into quality, engineering, and other areas of the business as needed.
- Technical Skills: PCB rework capability and a full understanding of the expectations and requirements of your primary customer.
- Cell Experience: Prior broad-based cell experience (an understanding of the range and complexity of the products that the cell produces).
- Certifications: A full understanding of the responsibility that comes from being an Ultra PCS certified inspection stamp holder. Ideally IPC certified.
- Industry Experience: Ideally prior experience within an aerospace/defence environment and/or a formal engineering qualification (NVQ/C&G/ONC etc.).
- Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance.
- Flexible Working: Flexible working within core working hours.
- Holiday Entitlement: 25 days holiday with the option to buy/sell 5 days plus bank holidays.
- Life Assurance: 4 times your annual salary in life assurance.
