About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Architect to play a crucial role in defining and managing the requirements for Test Equipment and Test Specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement a comprehensive test strategy and BIT architecture, including coverage requirements, timings, and system-level routines.
  • Specify missile factory pass-out testing to ensure correct build and support the manufacturing team with optimal test stages during production.
  • Outline in-service test routines for missiles and manage compliance with lower-level test requirements for design teams, including test access needs, BIT coverage/timings, and factory test functionality.
  • Analyse and model systems to understand test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions.
  • Propose and recommend cost versus test coverage trade-offs with the Chief Design Engineer and produce and maintain plans for activities within the sphere of responsibility.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level with substantial experience in Test, Electrical, and electronic engineering.
  • Digital electronics and microprocessor systems.
  • Analogue electronics; Power Electronics.
  • Test Equipment Design.
  • DOORS (Essential).
  • Good understanding of Project Management, planning, cost, and budget control.
  • Ability to manage diverse and conflicting stakeholders effectively.
  • Capability to technically manage internal and sub-contract activities.
  • Strong influencing skills with managers and stakeholders across the company.
  • Determination and desire to succeed.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
About the Company

Our client has a long-standing relationship with the UK military, spanning over 70 years. They have delivered countless landmarks in defence engineering, supplying vital defence capability to meet the needs of the armed forces over land, sea, and air.

This role is based at their headquarters site, which plays a key part in missiles operations. The site offers excellent transportation links and boasts an onsite gym and coffee shop. Training and development are offered to all employees.
