KNOWLEDGE

  • Manage files efficiently, adhering to timelines and compliance with established precedents, letters, or documents within the case management system with appropriate oversight.
  • Leverage technology and applications to enhance the client experience, ensuring it is seamless and efficient.

PRACTICE GROWTH & FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE

  • Oversee billing and administrative processes in accordance with team protocols; delegate tasks to junior solicitors, trainees, paralegals, and/or group legal administrators as necessary; provide legal guidance to junior team members; manage cash flow and disbursement controls, and participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Prioritize and progress work efficiently; effectively introduce and manage new business; keep partners informed of workload and specific issues; maintain a flexible and proactive work approach while fostering good relationships with clients and professional referrers to enhance IBB's brand presence.

CLIENTS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Recognized as a 'Trusted Advisor' by clients and professional organizations.
  • Assist in developing team capabilities to market services to existing clients and new prospects.
  • Seek innovative approaches to enhance existing ancillary work streams, build personal reputation, and elevate the firm's standing by developing new contacts and referrers; lead article writing initiatives; engage in relevant associations, and pursue leadership roles to support personal and team growth.

PEOPLE

  • Stay professionally and technically current by engaging in learning and development activities and recording CPD, while also expanding knowledge of the marketplace and client base.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree-level education (2:1 or above) with a strong LPC pass or equivalent, and a current unencumbered practicing certificate from the SRA.

Skills and Experiences

  • Ideally, 6+ years of post-qualification experience in this legal domain.
  • Strong technical foundation in this area of law.
  • Local connections (an advantage).
  • A genuine passion for this practice area.
  • Adaptable with the ability to meet tight deadlines while upholding the highest quality standards and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in IT and self-sufficient in using document management systems, MS Office, and the internet as business tools, demonstrating a commitment to embracing technology.
  • Previous experience in team management and supporting junior members in their career progression and legal experience (desirable).
  • Clear understanding of the importance of business development, with prior experience in marketing and promoting expertise to attract work and opportunities.
