We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a specialist school near Guildford. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mental health and be able to provide support to vulnerable young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the RoleThe Behaviour Mentor will work closely with students aged 10-16 who face a range of social, emotional and mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The successful candidate will be a consistent role model, committed to building strong relationships and providing a safe and supportive environment for our students.
Requirements- Knowledge of mental health and SEN children/adults
- Experience working with vulnerable young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check (if applicable)
Academics Ltd is committed to providing excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure the safeguarding of all students. We offer a competitive daily rate of £80-£90, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4pm, PAYE, term time only.
