Operations Assistant Job Description

Bassetts, a leading industry player in bathrooms, heating, tiles, and renewables, is seeking a skilled Operations Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the trade counter.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service at the trade counter, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate sales and deliveries from the trade counter and warehouse to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all paperwork is handled efficiently and accurately, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Control costs and maximize sales opportunities and profitability, working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve business objectives.
  • Merchandise within the trade counter area, ensuring all products are properly stocked and presented at all times, maintaining a visually appealing and well-organized display.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote excellent customer service within the department, adhering to all necessary procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring proper inventory management practices are followed.
  • Load and unload vehicles manually and with a forklift, adhering to company specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with the Branch Manager and other team members, maintaining open and transparent communication channels.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a sales and warehouse role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Confident and outgoing personality, with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies.
