Position Overview:
As our in-house Fireplace Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and executing our projects from start to finish. We are seeking an individual with exceptional skills in 3D SketchUp software, a solid understanding of building techniques, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project CAD Design:
- Collaborate with the Director to understand project scope and objectives.
- Interpret site drawings, sketches, and photos to recreate proposed environments and integrate the perfect solution.
- Develop accurate 3D SketchUp models with technical attributes such as flue design, site preparation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare 3D models for client presentations and revise as needed.
- Project Completion:
- Oversee project lifecycles from design to completion, managing timelines and resources.
- Coordinate with suppliers, architects, and builders to ensure correct component supply.
- Work with installation teams to ensure accurate implementation of design plans and resolve any issues during installation.
- Qualifications and Skills:
- Must Have:
- Proficiency in SketchUp 3D design software.
- Understanding of standard building practices and methods.
- Ability to research and find answers independently.
- Strong organizational and methodical skills.
- Excellent and confident communication skills.
- Understanding of project management from design to completion.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for success.
- Necessary 'right to work in the UK' status.
- Advantageous:
- Ability to create CGI photo-style renders for finished designs.
