Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Aurora Energy Services on a contract basis for 2 to 3 months. The successful candidate will oversee on-site installation and repair projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and under budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate on-site installation and repair projects from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Develop detailed method statements and risk assessments for all project activities, including project overview, hazards and safety measures, step-by-step instructions, and emergency procedures.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project delivery meets safety, quality, and timeline requirements.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues on-site and develop effective solutions, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on site installation and repair in Oil&Gas/Renewables/Civils.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective method statements and risk assessments, with a strong understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction and industrial sectors.
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation and safety protocols, as well as valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Desirable Skills:
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification in occupational health and safety.
  • Experience of Lifting Operations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating clear safety documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in developing comprehensive safety procedures.
  • Ability to balance safety requirements with project efficiency and timelines.
