About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Gas Service and Repair Engineer to join our team at MarkMay, a leading provider of heating services in the social housing sector. As a Gas Service and Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, maintaining, and ensuring the safety compliance of gas systems within social housing properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and Repair: Identify faults and repair or replace parts to restore functionality.
  • Conduct Safety Checks: Perform routine safety inspections for leaks and emissions.
  • Emergency Response: Attend emergency call-outs for breakdowns or leaks.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers about issues, repairs, and safety.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Complete service reports and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance to prevent future breakdowns.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Proven experience as a Gas Service and Repair Engineer, preferably in social housing.
  • Certifications: CENWAT, CCN1, HTR1, CKR- ESSENTIAL
  • Gas Safe Registration: Registered with relevant certifications and qualifications.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of gas appliances, systems, and safety regulations.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
