Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement governance strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to senior leaders and stakeholders on governance matters, including constitutional and compliance issues.
  • Oversee the management of governance bodies, including the development of meeting agendas, minutes, and action plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination on governance matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, providing recommendations for governance improvements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in governance leadership, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit organization.
  • Strong understanding of governance principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of organizational and time management skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable

  • Fellow or Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute, or comparable experience.
  • Experience working in a value-based organization.
