We are expanding our Heat Pump sales and support division and are in search of a seasoned heating professional. In this role, you will provide office-based assistance to our sales and installation coordination teams. Your comprehensive understanding of domestic heating systems will be crucial in guiding customers through our survey and sales processes. You will address technical inquiries, deliver ongoing training, and mentor others on managing diverse technical challenges.

Based in a modern and welcoming office, you will collaborate closely with our internal teams focused on low carbon products, ensuring we meet our goal of installing numerous heat pump systems in homes nationwide. Mentoring team members to enhance their knowledge while providing solutions to customer inquiries will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. While sales experience is not required, strong communication skills with non-technical sales personnel are essential to effectively convey necessary information to customers. You will also assist in providing technical reassurance to customers when needed.

Your role will involve being a technical authority, an exceptional communicator, and a developer of others' skills and knowledge. We seek individuals with substantial technical installation experience in heat pumps, a genuine desire to assist others, and a passion for promoting the advantages of low carbon heating. Additionally, you must possess the confidence and decisiveness to make accurate judgments, understanding that customer satisfaction is paramount.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure that surveys progressing to sales quotes are technically feasible for installation based on current criteria. Regularly assess and refine our technical support processes to maximize efficiency as the business grows. Assist the sales team in developing responses to customer inquiries requiring technical information. Apply technical rigor at any stage where installation risks are identified. Deliver exceptional customer service, facilitating easy navigation through our installation pipeline and sharing best practices. Create training and support materials to enhance team skills by identifying development needs and leading small technical projects for improvement. Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and establish a consistent approach to enhance performance across teams. Advocate for low carbon products and the necessity of decarbonizing the UK domestic housing sector.

Required Qualifications

Fully trained technical expert in heat pumps with a proven history of installation and technical support. Strong focus on performance enhancement and continuous improvement. A genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations. Ability to maintain a comprehensive understanding of processes and their significance in achieving the overall vision. An entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment. Experience in coaching and developing others in a customer-focused setting.
