Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team at Your Talent Solutions, a recruitment company specializing in projects and programmes. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of six to deliver accurate and efficient financial services, including cash and banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and stock control for 10 showrooms and head office.
- Lead a team of six to deliver accurate and efficient financial services, including cash and banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and stock control for 10 showrooms and head office.
- Work with the payroll bureau to ensure timely and accurate payment of employees and payroll taxes, and prepare end-of-tax-year returns and reports. Act as company administrator for the pension plan.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, prepare variance analysis and commentaries, and close period end and year-end in Sage X3, resolving errors.
- Act as the point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors, prepare financial statement notes and disclosures, and support the preparation and filing of corporation tax returns.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA preferred (finalists with a strong exam and career record) and at least 5 years industry experience. You should be able to work at pace and balance and meet different priorities and demands. A very high degree of attention to detail and accuracy is required, as well as polished, professional, and confident communication skills.
