Site Manager Job Description

M Group Services is seeking a highly skilled Site Manager to join our team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our Substation Build Team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising construction activities from commencement to final completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, including site operatives and subcontractors
  • Develop and implement safety documentation, including Health and Safety Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments
  • Identify training requirements for site personnel and ensure compliance
  • Liaise with clients, including audits and progress meetings
  • Procure materials using computer-based systems
  • Notify line manager of possible variations and maintain contemporary records
  • Compile documents and As Built records for handover files
Requirements:
  • Qualified to HNC/ Degree Level in Construction, Civil Engineering, or an Electrical discipline or equivalent
  • CITB Site Managers Safety Training Scheme
  • Temporary Works Supervisor
  • Background in construction and the electricity industry
  • Competency to work in Substations up to 132kV
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Knowledge of current legislation relating to Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Cost/Value reporting exposure
  • IT literate, specifically in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Full valid driving license
