About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Adult Learning Support Assistant & Cognassist Facilitator at The Bedford College Group. As a key member of our ALS Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the success of our adult students through facilitating and managing cohorts, providing monthly support meetings, and assisting in the development of students' skills and strategies.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Level 2 Learner Support Certificate or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it
  • Education to Level 2 in Maths and English
  • Experience of providing support to individuals in an educational setting
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience of working with students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • An understanding of working with adult learners
  • Ability to communicate effectively face-to-face, in writing, and on the telephone
  • A willingness to work at all Bedford sites
  • Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons in the area and College
