About the Role

The Multi-Skilled Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of our West Fleet units. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Main Responsibilities
  • Carry out Safety Critical and non-Safety Critical tasks in accordance with Train Vehicle Maintenance Instructions.
  • Complete maintenance exams and heavy component changes.
  • Perform general Depot duties, including maintenance activities, fault finding, and defect reporting.
  • Ensure rail vehicles are safe to be moved after work has been completed, in accordance with local procedures.
  • Attend out-of-course failures on the main line and conduct 'Safety of Line' checks when required.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or Apprentice trained in an Electrical/Mechanical discipline.
  • Previous experience in Rolling Stock maintenance.
  • Desirable to have completed NEBOSH/IOSH training and Business Improvement Training (BIT).
