Themis Recruit is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team. As a Family Lawyer, you will be responsible for developing the Department and handling a caseload of privately funded family matters from instruction to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Managing your own caseload of family law matters, including divorce, finances, civil partnerships, separation, cohabitation, and prenuptial agreements.
- Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate professional, timely, and pertinent legal advice with regular contact while managing their expectations.
- Ensuring proper control of work in progress, billing, and cash collection.
- Drafting and preparation of documents.
- Networking and business development.
- Undertaking self-development and complying with relevant training requirements by the Law Society/CILEX and in-house training when required.
- Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive.
- At least 4 years PQE.
- Experience of handling a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, children, mediation, financial matters, collaborative law, and domestic violence.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
- Excellent communication skills, including oral and written presentation skills.
- The ability to provide a high level of client care.
- Advocacy experience.
- Member of Resolution.
- Experience in Legal Aid work.
- Experience in Wills and Probate.
- Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
