Regional Health and Safety Advisor
Thorn Baker Group, a leading commercial build market leader, is seeking a Regional Health and Safety Advisor to join their team and support their growth. In this role, you will advance your career and be part of a company that values a personal and flexible approach to work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients and internal Health and Safety teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Attend client Health and Safety meetings to discuss and implement safety protocols.
- Support site teams on all Health and Safety aspects, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Review and manage day-to-day Health and Safety activities on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct workplace inspections and report findings to identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate accidents or incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage on-site occupational health services, ensuring employees receive necessary medical attention.
- Coordinate training for project staff on Health and Safety procedures and protocols.
- Contribute to the maintenance of ISO 45001, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dedicated Health and Safety role within the construction sector.
- Excellent communication skills with client-facing experience.
- Proficient in IT with strong report-writing skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
- First Aid training.
