We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Epsom. As a key member of our mechanical engineering team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our cities and environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Requirements
  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Thorough knowledge in mechanical equipment, such as pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing plant as well as an in-depth understanding of current UK design standards and working practices.
  • Strong understanding of legislation such as CDM and ATEX.

Rewards and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary that is regularly tested against other consultants with a default 25-days leave each year plus bank holidays and options to buy some or sell of that leave. Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Additional Information

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
