Clinical Deputy Manager

Aurem Care Shared Services Limited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Deputy Manager to join our team at The Oaks Care Home in Lexden, Colchester. As a Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents, working closely with the Home Manager to develop strategies for service improvement and implementing changes in service provision.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide effective leadership and support to the nursing and care team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and training to deliver exceptional care.
- Supervise nurses on a day-to-day basis and through formal clinical supervision, ensuring that they are meeting the needs of our residents.
- Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require.
- Develop and maintain links with local nurse specialists and teams, ensuring that residents are referred according to local procedures and protocols.
- Provide support in relation to medicines management and assess colleagues' competency to manage medication.
- Ensure that all colleagues are aware of company policies and procedures, and that these are incorporated into practice.
- Act at all times within own competence and knowledge in line with NMC registration requirements.
- Nursing experience is ideal, with a valid NMC pin number.
- Full-time contract, Monday – Friday, with some weekend work (1 in 4 a month) and on-call duties.
- 28 Days Annual Leave including bank holidays (pro rata for part-time contracts).
