This involves liaising with the contracts team, other internal operational departments, external trades and customers to meet business expectations and ultimately the expectations of the clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish early communication with clients upon contract assignment to introduce yourself as the point of contact for Norwich Aluminium Limited.
- Attend internal and external pre-start meetings as necessary.
- Participate in internal project update meetings.
- Conduct site visits prior to production to confirm client preparedness and perform site-specific risk assessments.
- Complete Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) in line with site inspections and forward to the Contract Coordinator for filing and customer distribution.
- Identify access equipment requirements and request the Contract Coordinator to raise a purchase order.
- Confirm installation dates with clients.
- Communicate changes to project timeframes affecting production schedules and fitting diaries to the Contracts Coordinator and Scheduling & Compliance Officer.
- Brief fitting teams on their assignments, ensuring they have site folders and sign RAMS prior to commencing work.
- Ensure fitters work in accordance with RAMS.
- Verify fitters work in a safe manner and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Enforce quality of work and attention to detail on-site.
- Report errors to relevant personnel.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks as required.
- Conduct final inspections with clients to identify and complete snag sheets for the Project Coordinator to arrange necessary works.
- Receive and review site folders returned by fitters, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Client handover upon completion.
- Ensure timely submission of relevant compliance paperwork, including handover documents and Quality Assurance (QA) documents.
- Keep the Head of Contracts informed of site progress and issues.
- Perform other duties reasonably expected in fulfilling this role.
