Support Worker

Job Summary:

Voyage Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at our residential service in Chaddesden, Derby. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of the people we support, helping them to gain more independence in their daily lives.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Support Worker who is genuinely caring, hands-on, and passionate about enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for teaching new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging individuals to access their local communities, socialising, and engaging in various activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care and meal preparation
  • Encourage and facilitate socialisation and community engagement
  • Teach new life skills and promote independence
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to ensure high-quality care
  • Participate in reflective practice and Positive Behaviour Support plans

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a full UK driving license, be resilient, flexible, and composed in your approach. You should also have experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviours.
