About the Job

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Arboricultural Consultant to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Ltd. As a leading integrated design practice, we offer a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the UK.

The successful candidate will have a strong passion for trees and a desire to develop their skills in arboriculture. They will be responsible for undertaking tree surveys, preparing Arboricultural Impact Assessments, and providing technical advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct tree surveys for development applications and construction projects
  • Assist with tree health surveys, hazard assessments, and risk assessments
  • Prepare Tree Survey Plans and Tree Protection Plans
  • Assist with reporting, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Statements
  • Collate information to provide advice on arboricultural issues
  • Undertake on-site construction supervision for protected trees
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or higher qualification in arboriculture or a related environmental discipline
  • Excellent tree identification skills
  • Good written English skills
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and in an office environment
  • Professional attitude, punctuality, and self-discipline
  • Computer literacy with experience of MS Word and Excel
  • Current UK driving license and access to a vehicle
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Membership of a relevant professional organization, such as the Arboricultural Association
  • Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD systems
  • Experience of technical report writing and Arboricultural Impact Assessments
  • Experience of tree hazard surveys and surveys in accordance with BS5837:2012
