Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Job Description

Our client, a leading M&E Contractor with over 40 years' experience, is seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities throughout the design stage of projects across the SE15 postcode.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all commercial activities during the design stage, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  2. Assist in compiling the tender bid for the submission of the AMP (Absolute Maximum Price) construction of the project.
  3. Engage with Sub-Contractors / Suppliers during this phase, fostering strong relationships and ensuring commercial coverage.
  4. Collaborate with our design, pre-construction, and estimating team to ensure commercial coverage and successful project delivery.
  5. Review and negotiate the Contract with our Client, with support from the senior management team.
  6. Negotiate and Contract placement of the Sub-Contract Agreements with our specialist Sub-Contractors.
  7. Prepare and submit monthly interim valuations to our Client in line with our Contract.
  8. Manage, value, and agree variations to the Contract.
  9. Carry out the valuation, preparation, and submission of compliant payment notices to our Sub-Contractors in accordance with the Sub-Contract Agreement.
  10. Manage and agree variations with our Sub-Contractors.
  11. Agree final accounts upstream and downstream.
  12. Produce and present financial reports for the project in line with the company timetable.
  13. Review and understand the programme, ensuring correct contractual notices are issued as required by the Contract.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication skills.
  2. Commercial acumen.
  3. Ability to manage numerous activities across a number of projects simultaneously.
  4. Enterprising, commercial, and planned approach.
Package:

Up to £75,000 + £4,500 car allowance + 25 days holiday + bank holidays + private medical insurance + life assurance.
