Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Radiographer to join our team as a Clinical Expert and Role Model. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development of others through example and education, while maintaining and updating their skills and knowledge of evolving practice and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Clinical Expertise
    • Act as a role model and clinical expert to facilitate the development of others through example and education.
    • Maintain and update skills and knowledge of evolving practice and legislative requirements.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide professional support to other radiographers.
    • Actively lead in the training and development of radiographers, assistant practitioners, and student radiographers, assuming professional responsibility for their work.
    • Train rotational radiographers and radiology registrars or clinical fellows in the utilization of highly complex, high capital cost specialist imaging equipment.
    • Train radiographers and assistant practitioners in positioning patients appropriately for each scan or interventional procedure, adapting techniques in accordance with the patient's needs.
  • Protocol Development and Service Planning
    • Review, develop, and write protocols with a view to improving service planning alongside the Lead Superintendent and Superintendent Radiographers.
  • Continuing Professional Development
    • Be responsible for individual CPD and support others.
    • Participate in the department's CPD program.
    • Participate in both internal and external events, as well as private study, in accordance with an assessment of own professional needs.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiography, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
