Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Daventry. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Help students with personal care, mobility, and other physical needs as required.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive.
  • Work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies.
