Our projects vary in scale, ranging from £5k to £15m, where we take on the roles of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, while also providing support to our esteemed Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacities.

The Role

This position involves core hours from Monday to Friday, contracted for 40 hours per week, with additional pay for overtime. Travel time will be compensated door to door, in addition to your contracted and overtime hours.

We are expanding our team due to increased project demands in the Thames Valley region, where you will oversee various projects in collaboration with Thames Water.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical installations to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
  • Implement and actively promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment process.
  • Coach and mentor Mechanical Fitters, Mates, and Apprentices.
  • Exemplify and uphold the values of Bridges when interacting with colleagues, staff, customers, and clients.
  • Encourage positive health and well-being among peers.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidates will be adaptable, proactive, and possess experience in reactive work within industrial civil sites, focusing on upgrading critical assets such as Pumping Station Refurbishments and Steelwork Fabrication.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor.
  • Background in the Water or Industrial sector.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS certification (mandatory).
  • Relevant City & Guilds trade qualification.
  • CSCS & CCNSG (or equivalent).
  • Fitness to work medical certification.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • PASMA certification.
  • IPAF certification.
  • Confined space training.
  • Authorization to Pressure Test (Bridges).
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider certification.
  • EUSR & Thames Water Passport.
