Job Summary:

Milestone, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a skilled Time Served Plater/Welder/Fabricator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Located in our busy fabrication workshops, this role will involve working on medium to heavy fabrication projects.

About Us:

Milestone Communications Ltd is a leading contractor for the UK's telecoms and renewable energy suppliers. We specialize in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, and infrastructure, as well as in-house steel fabrication and turnkey project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working experience of Time Served Plater/Welders/Fabricators with medium to heavy fabrication, with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication and client drawings.
  • Experience in Mig welding to coded standard BS EN ISO, with Tig and MMA an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work to execution class 2 standard BSEN 1090-2.
  • Previous experience with overhead cranes, slinging, and signalling.
  • Previous experience with counterbalance fork truck.
  • Weld test required at interview stage.

Working Conditions:

Our workshops are open from 6am – 5pm, with overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Overtime is paid at time and a half in the week and time and a half at weekends. With plenty of overtime available, including weekend working.
