About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health assessments and interventions to children and young people who have been involved with the youth justice system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of children and young people referred to our service.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the mental health needs of our clients.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological therapies to children and young people, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy.
  • Work closely with other agencies, including the police, courts, and social services, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting our clients.
  • Provide training and consultation to other professionals on child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Contribute to the development of our service and the implementation of new initiatives and programs.
Requirements
  • Professional qualifications in child and adolescent mental health, such as a nursing or social work degree.
  • Experience working with children and young people who have been involved with the youth justice system.
  • Experience providing evidence-based psychological therapies to children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
