Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to join our team at Atlas Recruitment Group. As an Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for developing cost analysis and costing/pricing strategies to meet the business requirements of our client, a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish robust estimating & pricing plans and select effective cost estimating methods to meet pricing requirements.
- Coordinate cost and pricing activities to ensure all aspects of the programme and associated risks are fully costed and considered.
- Generate cost and pricing models to meet programme and business requirements.
- Lead price negotiations with senior stakeholders.
- Collect historical cost, programme, and technical data from bids and actual programmes for use in near neighbour analysis.
- Deliver briefings to senior stakeholders, both internal and external.
Requirements:
- People management experience.
- Senior stakeholder management and engagement, both internal and external.
- Operational/business experience in cost analysis, planning, forecasting, or business modelling/analysis.
- Advanced MS Excel skills for modelling and analysis, with an analytical mindset and investigative approach, and excellent numeracy skills.
- Educated to a degree standard, e.g. Maths, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Economics, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge and experience of working overseas in a business environment.
