About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Avendra International. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the hospitality sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to exceed new business targets in the hospitality sector.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create innovative collateral and maximize the use of communication channels to support the sales plan.
  • Form strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to leverage business opportunities and expand our network.
  • Generate sales leads through proactive networking, including attending industry events, networking, and conducting in-depth research.
  • Identify new opportunities that align with our strategic direction and engage with key decision-makers to establish their needs and align our offering.
  • Present a robust commercial business case to justify any deviation from the business strategy.
Client Management
  • Document sales activity, lessons learned, and handover to sales operations and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to assess the quality of service delivery and address any issues that arise.
  • Foster a lasting relationship with clients and remain curious about their business and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in new business development in a professional services sales environment.
  • Experience in selling services in the hospitality sector, preferably hotels.
  • A strong network in the hospitality sector.
  • Significant experience of the full sales cycle and new business development.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong desire to overachieve.
  • Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of the strategic sales process.
  • Experience of using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • A valid driving license.
