Quality Assurance Specialist

At Assystem, we're committed to accelerating the energy transition worldwide. As a Principal Quality Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting client projects through providing engineering support, quality management, and control services.
Key Responsibilities:- Support client projects by providing quality assurance, management, and control services within multi-discipline teams.
- Ensure client and supply-chain adherence to contracted quality requirements and support client programmes in meeting overall project quality standards.
- Oversee manufacturing inspection and test plans, quality records, NCR facilitation, root cause analysis, and audits, both on client sites and at subcontractor locations in the UK and overseas.
- Collaborate closely with project functions and the supply chain to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient project quality, prioritizing nuclear safety.
- Establish and lead quality assurance and manufacturing/site surveillance plans to address identified risks.
- Assist quality auditors in resolving audit findings within the supply chain.
- Minimum of 10 years post-academic experience, with 5 years preferably in the nuclear or highly regulated sector.
- Experience in large, regulated projects with a focus on product/project quality.
- Proven team leader and player with strong quality assurance and process management skills.
- Experienced in planning and conducting internal and supplier audits, and reviewing quality records.
- Ability to analyze quality data and use quality tools like histograms, SPC, and cause-and-effect.
- Member Grade Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
- Qualified to (preferably engineering) HNC/Diploma/C&G Graduate level as a minimum.
