This position for a Youth Support Facilitator is available immediately, and prior qualifications are not necessary as comprehensive induction and training will be provided.

Numerous Pupil Referral Units, Alternative Provisions, and Special Schools are in need of support for both short-term and long-term assignments.

If you are dedicated to transforming the lives of young people and possess a flexible, creative mindset that enhances pupil engagement, this opportunity could be ideal.

The Role
  • The primary objective of a Youth Support Facilitator is to motivate young individuals to engage with their education, particularly those who may feel disconnected from the school environment.
  • This role presents a remarkable opportunity for someone eager to positively influence the lives of young people from underprivileged backgrounds, some of whom may have experienced significant trauma.
The Environment
  • You will provide guidance and support both within the classroom and in the community, working closely with parents and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach throughout their educational journey.
  • The working hours are from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, and this position operates during term time only.
  • There are possibilities for this role to transition into a permanent position following a qualifying period, making it suitable for those looking for a long-term career.
Requirements

To qualify as a Youth Support Facilitator, you should:

  • Exhibit resilience and prioritize the best interests of the students you support.
  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding, maintaining a non-judgmental and open-minded approach.
  • Possess a genuine desire to improve the lives of young individuals.
  • Understand the social, emotional, and mental health challenges that children and young people may encounter today.
  • Previous experience is not mandatory; transferable skills from personal and professional experiences are valued.

All candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check and complete reference verification prior to appointment, with support available for this process.
