Engineering Lecturer - Machining and Maintenance

South Essex College Group is a leading provider of Further and Higher Education across South Essex, offering technical and vocational courses across six state-of-the-art facilities. The School of Engineering Machining and Maintenance offers vocational courses from Level 2 to 3 with an Apprenticeship program. With state-of-the-art facilities, you will deliver first-class teaching on related topics. Working within an established and evolving team, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in FE.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality teaching and training to students on Engineering Machining and Maintenance courses.
  2. Develop and maintain a broad range of knowledge of the Engineering industry.
  3. Work with young people of varying abilities to develop their confidence and skills.
  4. Contribute to the development of the School of Engineering Machining and Maintenance.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching team.

Requirements:

  1. Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering Machining and Maintenance.
  2. Previous experience delivering Engineering Machining and Maintenance courses up to Level 2 to 3.
  3. A broad range of knowledge of the Engineering industry.
  4. Experience working with young people of varying abilities to develop their confidence.
  5. Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
