We are looking for a Safety Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues in Functional Safety and other engineering disciplines to conduct various analyses and prepare essential documentation in line with ISO 26262 standards.

This key position will operate in a hybrid model, allowing flexibility in your work environment. The successful candidate will have the chance to collaborate with some of the most innovative minds in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering work products as outlined in the Functional Safety Plan, adhering to Forseven's established processes.
  • Creating Hazard Analyses, Safety Concepts, Safety Requirements, Test Specifications, and other relevant documentation and analyses.
  • Conducting Confirmation Reviews as necessary.
  • Participating in sub-system design reviews to address functional safety issues.
  • Engaging in discussions with suppliers and Technical Partners to ensure compliance with Development Interface Agreements.
  • Executing system reviews, vehicle integration, verification, and validation activities, including Safety Goal Validation and other assessments throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Providing support and guidance to junior team members.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with the structure and key principles of ISO 26262.
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • A proactive and dynamic approach to problem-solving.
  • A genuine interest in vehicle functional safety and awareness of current automotive trends.
  • Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), FMEA, and/or Fault Tree Analyses.
  • Understanding of ISO 21434 Cybersecurity principles.
