Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Lead Cost Manager, you will be a vital member of the team, accountable for all financial and commercial elements of a programme, ensuring that all performance objectives are met or surpassed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing the programme's financial team across various projects with values exceeding £50m. Inspiring, guiding, and coaching the team to reach their full potential.
  • Overseeing the creation and upkeep of precise project financial plans and cost forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing the programme budget, ensuring value for money and cost validation.
  • Administering contracts for design and construction, ensuring that suppliers meet all requirements.
  • Facilitating the closure of all projects within the programme, including the formulation and execution of project closure plans.

Candidate Profile

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, business, or construction.
  • Membership in a recognized professional cost organization.
  • Experience as a Cost Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor on multi-year programmes/projects typically valued over £50m in a relevant sector.
  • Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
