About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Control Inspector to join our team at Adur District and Worthing Borough Councils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality building control service, ensuring compliance with building regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, issue decisions, and enforce building regulations as necessary.
  • Process applications, respond to queries, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, and the public to achieve our goals.

Requirements
  • Registration with the Building Safety Regulator as level 2 a-d (as a minimum covering domestic work and low-rise commercial properties).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of building regulations and construction practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
