Job Title: Financial Controller

Job Summary:

The Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and manage audits and UK Corporation Tax returns
  • Produce quarterly management accounts with analysis and commentary
  • Prepare annual R&D tax claims, budgets, and forecasts
  • Maintain the fixed assets register and verify accounts payable
  • Reconcile the balance sheet and manage general ledger accruals and prepayments
  • Provide information for company insurances and submit government statistical surveys
  • Liaise with Companies House and support external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and offer financial advice to the Board
  • Provide financial data for strategic decisions and collaborate on cost control
  • Assist the Finance Director and oversee a small finance team

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Degree-level education preferred
  • Experience with VAT and Corporation Tax reporting
  • Proficient in SAGE Accounting Software and MS Excel
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • High integrity, dependability, and results-oriented
