An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Allianz Popular SL in Southampton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing some of our most significant accounts, working closely with brokers and business partners to drive growth and revenue.
In this role, you will be out and about visiting brokers, managing broker accounts, and dealing with a mixture of brokers and business ranging from mid-corporate to some SME. You will also be involved in wider duties around the branch and will have the opportunity to help shape and develop the future of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the management of assigned key broker accounts for Allianz UK in the South Market through excellent relationship management.
- Plan, implement, and deliver the development of broker relationships and strategic business plans for assigned accounts, consistently monitoring and managing performance against these plans and taking relevant actions to ensure delivery of required results.
- Act as the relationship lead (internally and externally) for assigned accounts to ensure Allianz achieves the maximum benefit from these relationships and also delivers on our client commitments.
- Play an active role in driving innovative business development initiatives with the South region.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent relationship management, networking, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Close familiarity with the commercial insurance market and its components - essential.
- Strong financial acumen and presentation skills.
