Job Title: Senior HSEQ Engineer

The role reports directly to the Lead HSEQ Engineer. As a Senior HSEQ Engineer, you will provide HSEQ support and guidance to all DeepOcean operational areas with the DeepOcean approved HSEQ Management System, current legislation and regulations. Occasional trips offshore will be required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational HSEQ support required for projects and worksites.
  • Report on performance and the continual development of the HSEQ Management System for all company operations.
  • Support the Commercial tendering and bid process.
  • Participate and assist with internal and external audits of the HSEQ Management System.
  • Report to the Lead HSEQ Engineer on HSEQ performance and suggestions for further improvement of the system.
  • Promote and present the HSEQ culture and values of DeepOcean at departmental and client level.
  • Ensure that applicable HSEQ legislation to DeepOcean's operations is understood and applied to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Implement and support the Behavioural Safety Programme ACT for Safety.
  • Support the Lead HSEQ Engineer and act as a deputy if and when required for key tasks.
  • Provide support and guidance to other team members as appropriate.
  • Participate in project or site HIRA's/HAZID/HAZOP/SJA processes in conjunction with project teams and site managers.
  • Provide advice on specific hazardous working practices and necessary control measures.
  • Periodically review risk assessments to confirm compliance and applicability.
Requirements:
  • 5 year experience within a similar HSEQ role within a subsea O&G, renewables environment is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree or other relevant education within HSE.
  • Experience and understanding of Management Systems, HSE Legislation / Regulations, Risk Management Application, Auditing, Inspection, Incident Management and Emergency Response.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Packages
