Key Responsibilities:- Utilize advanced analytical tools to make informed trading decisions and drive profitable outcomes
- Execute trades to manage our exposure on the multi-billion pound hedge book, ensuring optimal risk management
- Deliver additional value through the optimization of flexible assets in the short-term market
- Trade the changing forecasts of our PPA portfolio to maximize returns
- Contribute to the design and improvement of our in-house analytical tools, driving innovation and excellence
- Liaise with the Trading Manager to ensure short-term exposure risks are understood across the business
- 1+ years of experience in Commodity Trading or a related field
- A passion for decarbonization and grid flexibility as the enabler for a sustainable future
- Ability to synthesize numerical information and make informed decisions quickly
- Eagerness to learn the fundamental drivers of the power market and become a top-performing trader
- Hunger to perform in a fast-paced and competitive market
- Ability to maintain continued attention to the market, even in times of low market volatility
- Willingness to undertake shift work, including nights and weekends
