Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Stannah is a family-owned manufacturing and engineering company that has been in operation since 1867. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Andover.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing all aspects of mechanical design solutions for new and legacy products to corporate and international standards. This will involve producing detailed design documentation to support validation of design solutions, analysing requirements using the DFMEA process to define test specifications, and examining designs using component level DFMEA process.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in the design, development, and testing of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems. They will be comfortable working with CAD software, preferably Creo, and PLM software, preferably Windchill. Drafting to BS8888 or other equivalent/relevant standard is also essential.
The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, working closely with other engineers and designers to develop innovative solutions. They will be responsible for assessing the safety of product designs using Product Safety Hazard Analysis process and producing technical documentation for production, installation, and service.
