Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality improvement activities, working closely with department heads to drive continuous improvement.
  • Supervise the quality control team to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Closure of internal and external production quality issues, ensuring effective resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain quality instructions, specifications, and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier quality improvements, ensuring that our suppliers meet our quality standards.
  • Support quality training for production staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Act as a quality mentor to the quality and production teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform audits of the production quality system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Effective control of non-conforming product, ensuring that it is properly identified, contained, and disposed of.
  • Improvement of First Off Inspection process KPI, ensuring that our products meet our quality standards.
  • Improvement of Shipping Release process KPI, ensuring that our products are released to the market in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Risk reduction of the assembly, test, packing, and shipping processes, ensuring that our products are safe and reliable.
  • Maintaining all required records and performance indicators, ensuring that our quality system is properly documented and auditable.
Requirements:
  • Experience:
    • Essential:
      • Excellent leadership skills and experience
      • Experience leading a quality function
      • Excellent problem-solving skills, e.g. DMAIC, PDCA, 8D, etc
      • Good understanding of GMP
    • Desirable:
      • Experience of electronic product or medical device operation
      • Good working knowledge of ISO 13485/ISO 9001
  • Qualifications and training:
    • Essential:
      • Related industry experience
    • Desirable:
      • HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering
  • Other attributes:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
    • Able to critically evaluate and summarise complex data into simple messages and actions
    • Able to challenge issues in a constructive manner
