Job Title: Aspiring Assistant Psychologist - Psychology Graduate Opportunity

Job Description:

  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a day-to-day basis, including those with Autism, Physical and Multiple Learning Disabilities, Severe Learning Disabilities, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs.
  • Liaise with Class Teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to monitor the progress of children and develop strategies to support their learning.
  • Provide a stimulating and safe learning environment for children, promoting their emotional, behavioral, and educational well-being.
  • Deliver specialist interventions to support children with SEN, working closely with the school's therapists and other support staff.
  • Liaise with the school's therapists to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting children with SEN.

Person Specification:

  • Childcare-related experience, particularly with a SEN focus, is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will be resilient, patient, calm-natured, empathetic, and adaptable, with a strong ability to work with children with SEN.
  • A hardworking and driven individual who is committed to exceeding the expectations of the role requirements.
  • Experience of supporting children with SEN, including Autism, PMLD, SLD, and SP&L, is highly desirable.
  • Future career ambitions to become an Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Therapist, or Well-being Practitioner are highly valued.
