Health Visiting Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Nursing Team Leader to join our Health Visiting Service at Central London Community Health Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and professional leadership to our 0-5 years Health Visitor team, ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive and high-quality needs-led service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and professional leadership to the Health Visitor team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service that meets the needs of our patients.
- Plan, organize, and evaluate an innovative public health service, delegating tasks to team members as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to ensure seamless delivery of services for clients and communities.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care pathways, working closely with clinical and professional leads.
- Manage and coordinate health promotion initiatives, aligning with local and national health improvement targets.
- Lead and motivate the team towards a shared vision of the health visiting service, making informed decisions under pressure.
- Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife qualification.
- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification (school nursing or health visiting BSc or diploma).
- Current NMC registration.
- Evidence of continuing post-registration education and training.
- Mentor training.
- IT literate.
- PHSE credited course.
- Evidence of other post-registration education and training in specialist areas (e.g., epilepsy, allergies).
- Experience of coordinating and leading multi-skilled teams.
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency working.
- Experience of organizing and managing own workload and that of others.
- Experience of undertaking comprehensive health assessments, planning, and implementing evidence-based programs of care.
