Agricultural Engineer Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our team in Winchester. As an Agricultural Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining machinery from top franchises, ensuring machine reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain machinery from a range of top franchises, including CLAAS and Horsch, to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, reporting machine defects and upselling services provided by the company.
  • Successfully diagnose and rectify electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and other faults prior to initiating and completing a repair.
  • Operate diagnostic software via a laptop computer when required (training will be given).
  • Complete a detailed report of work completed, including supporting photographs and documentation of all worked hours.
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary to fulfill the role.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience, knowledge, and experience of a variety of machinery, ideally in the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction industry.
  • A relevant qualification within the field of Land-Based Engineering.
  • A full driving license and the ability to operate machinery on site for testing purposes.
  • Willingness to work weekends during peak harvest season.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £25,000 - £45,000 per annum OTE based on experience, paid hourly.
  • Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm, and Friday, 8am - 4pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch break (basic 39 hour working week).
  • Holiday Package: 24 days + 8BH.
  • Pension: 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution.
  • Life Assurance, including dependent's pension.
  • Overtime available (Mon - Sat time and a half, Sunday - double time, bank holiday Monday - double time & day in lieu).
  • Company Van.
  • Ongoing training as required.
