The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant to support our Year 3 cohort.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting students who may be struggling to meet expected academic progress, particularly in literacy and numeracy.

This role will involve conducting small group sessions aimed at bridging the achievement gap and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.


Key Responsibilities:

- Provide focused assistance to students in literacy and numeracy, particularly those needing extra support to reach their learning objectives.

- Design and implement small group sessions in collaboration with the classroom teacher to ensure alignment with the curriculum.

- Assist in evaluating student progress, offering constructive feedback to the classroom teacher to guide future lesson planning.

- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and motivated.

- Support the classroom teacher with general educational duties, including resource preparation and student supervision as required.


About You:

- Possess a minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification.

- Have experience working with primary school-aged children, preferably in a Year 3 setting.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, especially in literacy and numeracy.

- Exhibit the ability to cultivate positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

- Showcase excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.

- Be passionate about enhancing the educational experiences of young learners.
