Cedar is excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Procurement Category Leader, dedicated to a prominent Public Sector framework Provider.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee a small team while managing various framework Agreements within the Construction & Estates sector. Your primary focus will be on crafting category strategies for our diverse client base and spearheading the execution of multiple procurement initiatives.
This position offers the flexibility of predominantly REMOTE work, with occasional travel required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure effective strategies for the execution of portfolio framework agreements.
- Establish robust metrics to assess the quality of products and services.
- Conduct market analysis to foster innovation and drive procurement improvements.
- Engage with other governmental entities and public sector organizations to assist with construction-related tenders.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with colleagues at all levels to ensure adherence to framework agreements.
- Lead multiple initiatives and develop collaborative relationship management practices with public sector suppliers, ensuring optimal return on investment.
- Supervise 1-2 team members at the Category Manager and Category Buyer levels, empowering them to excel and enhance their procurement skills.
- Contribute to the evaluation of the procurement function, including legal updates and governance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing comprehensive procurements within the construction category in the public sector.
- Experience in supporting Category plans, Governance, and Procurement pipelines.
- Familiarity with construction contracts such as JCT Design & Build 2016, NEC 3, or NEC 4.
