Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team at Architecture Social as an Architectural Design Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead residential projects from concept to completion, working closely with our senior team to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead residential projects, managing complex work packages and ensuring adherence to the highest design standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to project design and technical development, making crucial day-to-day decisions and overseeing the delivery of design services.
  • Support the senior team in achieving strategic objectives, participating in design and technical peer reviews, and mentoring junior team members.
  • Represent the practice, upholding its ethos and values, and promoting its profile through project updates and external communications.
  • Build positive relationships with clients and the wider design team, monitoring project costs against the budget and ensuring up-to-date project information.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience post-Part 3 training/registration or qualification.
  • Successful management and delivery of projects across various stages, including early design, detailed design, or construction, particularly in high-end residential or residential refurbishment projects.
  • Leadership experience, with a solid technical understanding, including familiarity with UK building regulations, British Standards, and UK planning law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with peers, clients, and collaborators.
